Searching For Bluebonnets

After living in Texas 65 years I learned what to look for when tis the Blue Season. These little Blue and White gems are only found in Texas and a few parts of Oklahoma. Bluebonnets get deeper Blue in Color depending on the dirt and nutrient levels they grow in. Every year I wish to find that special spot. My perfect setting would include a winding dirt road leading to an old Farm house sitting on top of a grassy hill. Also the photo would look nice with a Billy Goat, a Rooster playing inside the white picket fenced yard. I would wish for Stormy majestic clouds, and a White horse grazing near the pretty Blue Lake, and course everywhere covered in Bluebonnets. Ha Ha Good Luck my friends finding that perfect spot. My wife Nancy and I went out several days ago searching for that special spot. We woke up that morning at 5:00 am, and it was Stormy weather that day and I was so happy. Yes you read it right! I love to take photos in Stormy conditions. The one big problem is that wind makes flowers dance and swing and they will tend to Blur. I have found out in the evenings or mornings the wind will die down for a little and you can get a more crisp shot. Anyway I came upon this spot and took about 30 shots, with shutter speed and aperture variations. I set my picture style on Landscape, since this setting will enhance the Blue and Greens. I could not find that Dream Spot every one wants. However, I did find this shot for this year. To see the full image of my Bluebonnet shot, navigate to my Gallery and click on landscapes. Hope you will get lucky and find your special place. Good Luck!
